Amazon.com has a new original series out called The Tick.

It's not the first iteration of The Tick........ in fact it is the third.

The first The Tick series was animated and it came out in 1994. It was somewhat well loved by a certain fan base.

It is about a dim witted superhero that is very strong and has a partner called Arthur.

The second iteration of The Tick was also pretty popular. It came out in 2001 and starred some fairly big name actors at the time. It was pretty good show by almost anyone's estimation.

However, this review will be talking about the third iteration of The Tick which just came out in 2017 and is once again about a dim witted superhero named The Tick who has a partner called Arthur.

Right off the bat I'm going to tell you that it is awesome and you should watch it right away.

Sometimes that can be a good thing though.

Peter Serafinowicz does a fantastic job as The Tick.

In fact everyone is pretty much perfect in their roles.

What's it about?

Well aside from just being about a dim witted superhero and his partner Arthur..... it's also about a world where one can find superheroes around every corner and supervillains to go along with them.

The Tick finds an amazing super powered suit for a young guy named Arthur who is not very confident in his own abilities.

They are then chased by several supervillains one of whom is a hilarious character called Lint.

Lint is able to shoot electricity out of her hands but she also constantly attracts lint all over her body hence the name.

The Tick is absolutely hilarious and it definitely doesn't take itself seriously.

Despite this it is a really great superhero action show.

How does it compare to other versions of The Tick?

I've enjoyed The Tick in all three of its versions.

The animated version is good and light.

The 2001 TV series is also pretty good and definitely enjoyable to watch after work while drinking a cold beer or something like that.

However, this version is clearly the best.

The one problem is that it's only 6 episodes.

Supposedly they'll be working on more episodes that come out in 2018 but who can say for sure.

These episodes are only about 20 or 25 minutes long and they go by in the blink of an eye.

If you've got Amazon Prime then there's no reason why you shouldn't go ahead and check out The Tick right now.

I would go so far as to say that it's one of the best superhero shows that I've ever seen.
