A Christmas Away

Spain - Seville

This time I had to spend a Christmas in Spain and it was such a strange feeling, so different, I was waiting for the fireworks, waiting for the - Happy Year - but nothing, people locked in their homes and inside each house was made a exchange of gifts, to receive the year and a costume party ... it was a carnival with an intimate party.

Try to take out a table and place snacks and food for everyone, but the cold made us leave the table outside and lock ourselves in and be an accomplice to such a strange celebration and to my habit out of context; I was left without ham bread, without hallaca, without legs, without grapes while the cannon shot sounded ..

What I do remember was wine, prawns, cheese, baked chicken and almost everything bought and a new phone for the exchange of gifts

They were long days, long months and long weeks, without denying that it is a great city where tourism predominates, they take advantage of everything; among other experiences I wanted to bring Steemit Christmas in Spain with friends and part of the family

I fell in love with Spain but I loved my land more, my people, my venezuela, making hallacas at a table, preparing the salad with the family, choking on the grapes in the middle of the cannon, going out to give him the happy year, even the old gossip from the neighborhood that got me so much in trouble

My big land, family land, My beloved land of times
where every day I grow up, where every day I learn
where we all live and we see
When you're not here, you leave me an emptiness that I do not understand
Well, if I leave my beloved land, I go and return.
