Happy yet sad.. My mango harvest...

Hello guys... Here I'm showing to you a lot of mangoes. This is our harvest from our rented mango farm. As we all know mango has a huge market. The Philippines has wide mango farms, we export mango product! From the fruit itself..we also have some purée and the dried mango fruit which is very expensive!

This fruit is very beneficial to us because it contains vitamins and minerals which are food for our body's health. And this fruit could also be used as an ingredients to salads or some delicious dishes!

As of this year, we have tried our luck into this mango business.. Due to its high demands and the profit is good, well that's if the nature takes it side on us and give us a good harvests! We have invested a lot on this business.. From the finance and extra efforts only to continue this.

Mangoes have more than 3 months before its harvest. From there we have invested P177,000 or almost US$9,400.. This was used from the very first day all throughout harvest time, different inducing chemicals, pesticides, etc!

And like any other businesses, some factors might affect the possible outcome from your expectation.
And this is the manifestation of the damage done.

What caused this damage?
From time to time we have to spray chemicals to prevent insects eating the fruits but it's inevitable that somehow some insects can tolerate the chemicals and do the damage.

This was caused by some fruit flies. When the fruit were so minute, they have injected their poisons to these fruits and as it grows it caused for these fruits to crack. Then it's useless! Who would buy this cracked and damaged fruit?

Instead of a greater harvest, it diminished tremendously.. From our rough estimate of 15tons of mangoes we only had 8tons! That was a great deduction in possible profit.

But still, we are not discouraged! We will still continue on this. The profit for now may not be that huge, but still we have not lost our investments. There is still a return of investments which shall be used for the next production!

For as long as the sun still shines... We can get going!
We can do whatever we have to do, continue for our goals and endeavors! God is with us, let's not lose hope...
