Sorry I did not get reply notifications for all your posts for some reason. Thank you for reading and discussing! I think this is important and if you could re-steem it that would help me a lot!

Politicians need to have a lot of skills which are not great for leading! It is as you say. The few of us that desire to become politicians and rule over people, this kind of thinking already benefits those who are afflicted with narcissism rather than empathy! The kind of person motivated to give themselves power will care more about himself than other people, imposing their will on other people.

There is a type of government ideology which is based off of meritocracy, the idea of technocracy in which a government is run by professionals of the field rather than the people who can market their image best. I cannot imagine what a government like this would be capable of! Imagine if the head of the EPA was an ecologist with a PHD, the leader of the economy an economist with a PHD. I wish that people were chosen based on their capacities rather than image, but that is what you need to have for people to vote for you!
