I'm amazed by how often I get asked this question! People see it and when they think about it, Their face expression turns to disgust when they realize I have a hole pierced completely through the back of my eyebrow.

Why Would I Do Something like This To Myself?

Many people do not like piercings, They can get gross if you don't clean them. They can get infected. You can get them in weird spots all over your body.
Some people overdo it and get a TON of them, While others get 1 or 2.

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City Utah, Basically Mormonville. Even though I am no longer Mormon, There are things that we tend to follow even if we aren't Mormon.
Piericings and Tattoos are greatly frowned upon.
So I had this best friend in Jr high, We got in a petty fight and she moved far away, She eventually came to visit and I decided to see her again, She already had plans to get between her eyes pierced on the bridge of her nose.

I decided to tag a long

I"ve never had a piercing or a tattoo in my life, I've always been one of those "goodie goodie two shoed kind of gals."

But that day I had a change of heart... Why go if I'm not getting a piercing too?

So the NIGHT BEFORE the piercing was going to happen, I posted on facebook:

"Eyebrow or Septum piercing?"
I liked both, I thought they both would look cool on me, I always had a fasination with lip rings, But because they can damage your teeth, (I'm obsessed with my teeth) I ruled that one out.

The votes came in, How did I decide what to get?

I literally counted the facebook votes for Eyebrow or Septum, and I went with the one with the highest votes.... EYEBROW WON!

I Remembered being terrified.
We went down stairs with the man who was going to do the piercing.
He chose to have me get mine done first because I'm new to it. He had me lay down. He gently wiped my eye brow with a wipe. He told us a head of time that he chooses to not use clamps.
I didn't know the difference.. He seemed like a nice guy, He had tattoo and piercings of his own, So I felt like I could trust him.
He grabbed a needle, Leaned on me. He pinched my eyebrow tightly,

OMG

I expected to get blood in my eyes, But there wasn't any blood,

What?

It felt like it took forever.
Pinch your eyebrow as hard as you can with your nails, Thats a pretty good description of how it felt. When He had the needle through, The pain got so much worse as he put the jewelary in, That was the worst part, I was ready to tell him STOP! But he was done.

It stung a bit, But it wasn't bad, My eyebrow was super sensative for a while afterwards, Work sucked because I kept getting my glove kept getting caught on my eyebrow when I went to wip the sweat from my forehead, So It took a bit of time to get used to.
That was a fun day, My friend got a bridge, But I was so terrified of watching stuff like that I left the room.. I remember almost telling her not to get it, I was worried something really bad would happen and she would have to go to the hospital or something,

MY brain was clearly blowing everything out of proportion

After we got our fancy piercings, My friend, Her older sister and I went to a really good Korean Restaurant, It was the first time I tried Korean food like that And I loved it.

IT was a great day. We keep in touch but she's not in my life as much as I'd like her to be, She lives out of state, I'm hoping with my self employment I can somehow make it possible to see her more often.
