Well, in addy to what you have just said, building a relationship is a very important tool for progress. We can see that practically here on steemit. All your efforts to make it on here could be in vain if one does not build a good relationship with the community first. In real life matters, the type of relationship one creates determines the level such person gonn operate on. so in summary, relationship is highly needed when one is talking about making it in life.
This is a very good topic you brought up @kennyskitchen. Expecting more of these nice stuffs from you.

Absolutely, Steemit is a great place to practice/observe SO many things that prove true throughout our lives, and that's one of the things I really love about it.

I've long said that the only things worth investing in are ourselves, and our relationships :-)

Yeah you are right man...how was the birthday celebration all together?

I like this life as a role playing game framing devise that you use here. It creates a nice life imitating art which is, itself, imitating life kind of thing.

I wonder is this phenomenon exists to aid in communication. That is to say that if one spends enough time with someone, he or she learns to "speak" that person's language or, to use your analogy, the paladin must learn the necromancer's chant so that he may better understand the necromancer's meaning.

Thanks! That is a large part of what the concept is behind this project: the framework of reality was drawn out and used for RPGs, so I'm just taking that same framework, and showing people how it fits over reality :-)

I think there definitely is some level of that. The more time you spend with someone (or even reading their work/with them in the digital), the more you will grok the way they speak, their beliefs, what kind of metaphors their brain operates best with, etc.

No problem.

It works well and it is easy to approach. There is a good chance that anyone under 35 has played those types of games so it makes for a nice sugar coating for those who haven't studied these types of topics. In my own writing I tend to refer to lit or mythology often but I wonder if it excludes people aren't well educated on those subjects. Sure, it sounds great when I reference the Aeneid in relation psychedelic usage but it makes it more of a niche post.

Picking up on the mannerisms of others can be helpful in my experience. I grew up in a rough part of town and I was friends with the "thugish" types but then I went to school for lit and language. In my day to day life I speak and act like someone with a fair level of education but when I am faced with those "thugish" people I can very easily slip back into that way of communicating. My peers often seem shocked by this "low" way of speaking but I can relate to those people much better because of it.

Very interesting article. I never think about it but after reading your post I changed my mind. It has a lot of crucial information!

Thanks for this and of course, please share more similar ones. Keep doing :)

I always feel like I'm leveling up when I'm around you!
