Good morning and have a great August my friends........Don't forget that August is the sunday of summer
Fresh bread is one of the most delicious foods on earth. On the contrary, stale bread is foul. You buy a delicious loaf, you use half, and the other day you want to eat the other half, the strawberry has become hard as a nut. But do not despair! There is really a way to refresh the stale bread, which though it seems a little strange to you, is really effective.
The secret to refreshing the stale bread is to think about what bread does to keep: the loss of moisture. As the bread is left unused, the moisture content is evaporated, resulting in hardening. So if you want to refresh the stale bread, you have to somehow restore the moisture that you lost. How? Drink it with some water! We do not mean to dive into the water, but pass it under your tap for a few seconds. After moistening the bread, put it in the oven at 175 ° C for five to ten minutes (directly on the grill it has better results). As the water turns into steam, it re-enters through the bread, softening it and making the crust crisp again.
Obviously, this technique has results only for bread that has crusts such as baguettes, strawberries, etc. It does not work for pre-packaged soft breads. All you can do with them is putting them on the toaster and hoping for the best.
