Missing someone is a coin that has 2 sides, missing-remembering

Have you ever missed someone so much that you do not know what else to do other than cry? It could be a love one who has passed away, your close friends/ex-boyfriend/girlfriend that now you do not talk to, long distance relationship (it may be your girlfriend, boyfriend, parents, friends) etc.

I personally have missed my love ones who are overseas as well as those who have passed on. I know my love ones are always near me but I miss their physicality. I miss hugging them, I miss touching them, I miss the intimacy I share with them, I miss hearing their laughter (though at times I feel I can hear their laughter), I miss their warmth, I miss a lot of things about them that I could go on and on. Yet I know they are here (be it if they are alive or not).

For those who have passed on, I cry, look at the sky and talk to them. For those that are in some other country or for those who I have not spoken to for ages (due to whatever reason), I see their photos and remember the times we had together and of course cry again as I need to let the emotion out. The crying part is due to me missing them but yet it that missing I experience immense joy, happiness and peace. That joy, happiness and peace is derived by remembering them, by appreciating the moments we had, are having and will have, by acknowledging that they have been a huge part of my life and by embracing all the memories we have together. Most importantly, those feelings were purely due to remembering them. Remembering them is not being aware that they are not physically here but something much deeper. Remembering them is remembering who they are and the memories you guys had together.

Missing someone is a coin that has 2 sides, missing-remembering, one is which we miss them and the other is which we remember them. We remember them for what they have done, who they are, how special they are to us and how they have made us feel. When you miss someone you have something happy to remember and sad to miss. We focus on the sad part (missing) but not on the happy part (remembering). We miss them due to various reasons but do not forget to remember them and the memories you have. You may say that it is due to those memories that you miss them more and more. That is because you want those memories, which has happened in the past to repeat itself in the present. It will not happen in the present but it may happen in the future. What are you going to do from the present to future? Continue to miss them and cry? Or remember those wonderful memories, be happy, contented and continue with your life? Your perception of the word remember and memories have the power to make you dwell in the past or enjoy the present. Choose your perception wisely. Have memories of them, keep those memories, cherish and treasure them but do not dwell in them or let them control your present.

If you out there are missing someone, your love one that has passed on, your ex, your boyfriend/girlfriend who is overseas, whoever else, let your emotion out in whichever way you want (of course please do not harm yourself and others), embrace it and thereafter remember them. Embrace the missing-remembering coin. Every feeling you experience has 2 sides, do not just focus on one and and forget the other. Embrace the totality as without one there won’t be the other.
