Happy BirthdayMonth to moi!

Be a P.A.L. and have a glass of my favorite drink. Lift your glass high and smile. Cheers to another year of life, cheers to all the challenges before the victories, and cheers to what is yet to come. It is the first day of the Month long celebration. Let us check the list of what is usually done and what isn't usually done, but will/might be done this year.

Do you have a must do birthday list?

The list: To be completed before the end of the month in no particular order.

  1. Donate Blood
  2. Eat all my favorite sweets: cupcake and a cake.
  3. Dinner with the family
  4. Dinner with the bestie
  5. Dinner with the crew
  6. Go to the Gym

Every year, I make sure to EAT everything! With everyone, eating in good company is always a win-win. Although eating out may seem normal and donating blood a bit odd. It is what I enjoy doing. Probably because I get a ton of free stuff along the way. Which isn't that the point?

This year, I decided to go on some mini adventures too. Once they occur I will fill you in. Let's just say my love for Jesus and mugs are involved. Until then, let me tell about this walk down memory lane. Thanks to the digital photo album stored online on the book of faces, I was able to pull some pictures from previous birthdays. I keep meaning to add pictures from my sweet fifteen.

Oh the memories. The good old days. Then and now, etc etc...

Those pictures were taken long ago. You know, before my generation made publishing our entire lives online cool. Thankfully my generation has done its due digitlence in changing that. Ensuring every year was somewhat well documented. All that to say, the sun will soon have made a complete circle around the world and is back to celebrate a journey well made.

Last year, in honor of my birth date, every day was marked by a special activity. This year is no exception. There is the usual checklist that naturally occurs then there is the more challenging list. The Usual list as mentioned before has been done for over ten years now.

  • Donating blood, something about donating during your birthday month that feels extra special. I've donated, usually on the first of October every year for over five years now. This tradition started back in high school. Then it was a reason to get out of class and receive free stuff. I've enjoyed the free stuff so much I've gone back month after month. I've convinced almost every family member and friend to donate at least once.
  • Gym, this is another pretty regular one, but again something about going on your birthday. My gym sells heart rate monitors and displays them on a screen with our names during class.

I really love my name and having it up on the screen makes it extra special. I wonder if,

They could call me Kubby this year?

  • Hair/nails etc... Before every trip, wedding, and now a little more often than just on special occasions my nails are painted. My hair is treated to hide the curls from this cruel humidity world and my eyebrows are wiped into two twins.

  • Food.. Lots of it all the time always. Because joy comes from good company eating with smiles, don't you agree?

The more challenging list involves coming up with ideas for activities. This year the parentals are leaving for Brazil and returning the day before my birthday. They have the burden of creativity for leaving on my special month.

  • An activity to do with the parentals -Probably dinner the night they return.

  • An activity to do with friends, I have an idea for this one and so do they. Will keep you updated.

  • An activity to do with coworkers, usually lunch out and happy hour.

  • An activity to do with the church, one of the girls is in charge of planning the monthly activity and little does she know I'll be bringing a cake. While strongly encouraging them to sing that beautiful birthday song.

All these activities must be different from each other and not all on the same weekend. While it is a blessing to have so many to share and want to celebrate one of the greatest days of year with me. It can be quite the mission to think of, plan for, invite all to such activities. This is where you come in... I need your brilliant creative minds here.

I need ideas, suggestions, and prayers. Grandmother is currently traveling north and might return sometime during my birthday month. Family and friends are thankfully not picky eaters, except for grandmother. While you are thinking to keep the following in mind. We must keep their humble wallets in mind, grandma's difficult eating preferences in check, and do it before she leaves on the 14th.

Birthday month ends on the 30th...

Everyone goes through withdraws and transforms into scary death lifeless creatures. We console them by going to bed early on the 31. Some call it the witches day others call it Halloween. In any case, we end our celebrations a day before such day.

Happy Birthday-month to me!

Looks like quite a lot to do...let's get to it then. Celebration all through.

Replace one with 'any charity project' and six with 'once in a year'...lol then you have my list

What charity project do you usually do for your birthday month, also do you really go to the gym once a year? lol

Usually visit orphanages and spend the day with the kids.
