Wednesday is the big day...

Before that we were a little unlucky and lucky too.

Until then, let me tell you about the weeks ahead and the one behind. Monday was Strength day at my gym. That usually means heavy weights and lots of inclines on the treadmill. That also usually means extra soreness the next day. Usually, I'll leave a little heavier than previous and my lower back will remind me why I shouldn't. Well, It's Sunday and I'm still hurting. I haven't felt this much pain and limited mobility in a very long time.

Today at the gym wasn't much better either. Needless to say, tomorrow may be an extended rest day. The downside of aging is forgetting your body doesn't always recovery as quickly as we would like. The upside, this past weekend was filled with first. First time picking a pumpkin to crave. First time winning a game of bowling. The first time, so far, someone sang the birthday song to me. Then the second round of fun. Second time watching The Greatest showman and I cannot wait for them to make this into a musical. Second time having drinks with the girls.

This past week we were also a bit lucky. Celebrating the church's fourth birthday, which means cake. Grandma and Uncle had a layover nearby just long enough for us to share a meal. The iron level was finally back up and the annual tradition of donating blood continues.

Let's talk about, The big day ahead.

72 hours and counting.

I usually like to go to the gym on my birthday and I was hoping to go in the morning. My parents decided to have their return flight that same morning. With my lower back acting up, my gym class ends at 6:30 am, the parents fly in at 7:00 am, and it takes roughly twenty minutes to drive to the airport it appears we will be sleeping in a bit.

That is a nice plus. There is usually a meeting the night before that goes on pretty late, so not waking up extra early will be a treat.

The presents are coming in early. I have a few free birthday freebie drinks and restaurants to cash in on, but that will happen later on. After I pick up the parents, go to work, I look forward to Bible study with the girls.

It will be to most normal day to most and the most spectacular day to me! Do me a favor, will you? Eat something sweet in my honor, drink a cup of coffee in remembrance of me, and sing a song of joy on Wednesday. Where ever you're, whatever you're doing, and as often as possible be celebrating!

I'm pretty sure I have bicep tendonitis just now (which is not actually a bicep issue despite the name) so I sympathise with you. I might be having a forced rest week this week since doing anything with my shoulder hurts (a bit, not a lot but I don't want it to get worse).

My back is still hurting and it's been a week. Are you feeling any better?

Not really. :(

I'll think of you when I'm having my second coffee as this didn't arrive in time for the first ;D
