What is your guilty pleasure?

Let’s face it, people - with so many Steemians on their way to Krakow and countless others stuck at home avidly reading everything Steemfest-related, it’s going to be tough to find something relevant to post in the days ahead. Even if you do come up with a simple solution to world peace or you’ve finally figured out the meaning of life I suggest you don’t put it online right now as everybody would much rather read about Steemfest and find out what @ned’s hair actually feels like.
And yet… we still need to post, don’t we?
How about we keep it light over the next week? Something easy to write in between watching livestreams and looking at the photos. I have a challenge for all of you - let’s talk about our guilty pleasures, you know like a show that you secretly enjoy, but don’t often mention, because you know it’s something silly and probably a waste of time. Maybe you’re hooked on some reality show or enjoy reading romance novels while stuffing yourself with cookies.

I’ll go first and admit I’m pretty excited about watching tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead. (It aired on Sunday, but I get to watch it only on Monday night).
What can I say? I’ve been watching this series for nine seasons, some parts were pretty cool, some were beyond boring, but still I need to know what happens next.
And sometimes the special effects, the zombies are pretty cool!

That’s one of the coolest scenes ever!

It’s like having an old friend from school you don’t like much but you hang out together from time to time. It’s the same feeling, I’ve known these people for eight years, we’ve been through so many things together, I can’t just abandon them. I’ve decided to write about this today because it’s an important moment in the series - the main character, Rick Grimes, is dying so it’s going to be epic. I’ve never even liked his character, but still… there are so many moments I remember, so many who died (what can you do it’s a zombie show after all).
Years ago, when my little one was allowed to write on the walls and the house was a mess, I decided to contribute with a Rick Grimes quote: ‘This isn’t a democracy anymore’, on the wall in the living room, just to let my children know who’s the boss around here.
Something nice about being so involved with a series is that you can also follow it on Facebook and be part of family. A pretty big one - the page has over 35 million followers, so you’d better not mess with us! We all need to belong with a group, don’t we?

So, I’ve confessed my passion for a zombie apocalypse series, what about you?
What is your guilty pleasure? Do you watch cooking shows, reality TV or … what?
This is an open challenge so I'm not going to tag anyone... Feel free to share your little secret ... so it can stay forever on the blockchain! :)
If you do write, please let me know in the comments so I can upvote!

I'm going to out @o07 as a huge Walking Dead fan :)
I don't mind it myself; although that Terminus period was pretty confronting. I found it worse than Negan's introduction, personally.
My guilty pleasure is Bloons. I have Bloons TD6 on my phone, and I could play it til my fingers bleed.

Do not speak ill of Negan, please! #teamnegan here :)
Oh, and I know about Bloons, too. I'm not obsessed with it, fortunately. My son makes me play, mostly. But only the TD5 PC version!

My wife, @amandaclarke has had a crush on Jeffrey Dean Morgan since he was Denny on Grey's Anatomy.

She has good taste, what can I say...
I missed out on that series, but..who knows?!

As one of her major decisions, I can attest to her impeccable taste.

:))

🤣😃🤣my guilty pleasure is legendary heroes. It is a game for the phone and I play all the time till the phone died. Even at work

I've heard of it, but never played it myself.

I left The Walking Dead at the end of the seventh season, after seven years, I decided not to see more, for now, I'll wait for the show to end, and then I'll continue it. I've tired of waiting a year to see how the story continues, when I finish I'll see it.

My guilty pleasure must be that I still play Age of Empire II, hahaha, sometimes, not all the time, but every once in a while I play a game.

I've tired of waiting a year to see how the story continues.

You have a point there, I prefer series I can binge on, too.

I love to read and collect books. I had a problem with hoarding books and at one time had over 10,000 in my collection. I finally a few years ago after it took a 3 bedroom uhaul to move them I decided to do a mass donation to about 50 different organizations. I did keep about 200 books or so. So that would be my guilty pleasure. Books, I love books.

Doesn't count as guilty pleasure, books are way better than zombies...it's a guilty pleasure more people should indulge in! I don't buy many books for myself...if we spend on books it's mostly for my son, he needs to understand the pleasure in reading. I download mostly and read on the kindle - and before you say anything about that I will tell you I prefer the kindle these days because it's easier on my eyes... (not to mention cheaper).

Everytime I try to read an e-book so I don't know what it is it makes me sick to my stomach and I get nauseous and if I read them for too long I will actually throw up. Which doesn't make any sense to me because I can read things on the internet and other digital formats but when it comes to the ebooks I throw up if I read them for too long

I like drinking whiskey and playing Minecraft. I don't want to think about how many hours I've spent exploring and stacking blocks in what's essentially a children's game. But now that the wife is across the Atlantic we meet up on a rented server and it's like she never left.

Oh, don't let me start about games....I've meaning to write a post about that and I even have the screenshots for it, but it's hard to come clean. I've seen Minecraft on my son's laptop, but he iesn't much of a fan. For the time being I stick with Candy Crush, which doesn't take much of my time as lives take forever to recharge.
It's so cool you play Minecraft with your wife and get to do something fun across the ocean... and they say technology is destroying us!!

Hah, I skim past most of the Steemit posts. I have gotten quite boring in my older age, and usually watch movies from back in the day. Spent the day yesterday binge watching the Death Wish movies.
