Intent

Doing anything with intent makes you much more likely to be successful. So few people use intent as a tool, however.

What is intent? It's doing things with a clear purpose. It's easy to float by and do things half-assed. You'll get a half-assed life if you do that all the time.

Instead, have a clear reason you're doing each and everything during your day. Make your coffee with intent and awareness and let it fuel your day. Work out with purpose because you know you only have one body to live life with. Love your family with intent. Make sure they know you love them.

Intent isn't just better for other people, it makes life better for you.

I notice this especially in cooking. I mean, of course clear and focused intent matters in everything you want to accomplish, but with cooking you get immediate feedback as to how well you did.

When I cook I’m completely focused on each little thing I do, with the intent the final product be delicious and nutritious. Feedback says I’ve been succeeding. :)

@Indigoocean, I absolutely love that and agree! Cooking is FOR SURE one of the most apparent places for intent. The more delicate the profession, the more the little subtleties and nuances come into play.
