1. Roland Doe

Roland served as the inspiration for the first exorcism film in 1973. He came from a German family living in Maryland, USA. After the death of his aunt, who was his only true caregiver, the then 14-year-old showed behavioral problems that should indicate an obsession. His mother brought help to a priest who exorcised the boy for several days.

2. Anneliese Michel

Anneliese was the model for the movie "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". She lived in Germany and came from a very religious family. Anneliese suffered from epileptic seizures, which her family not medically, but religiously fought. She died in 1976 of extreme malnutrition. In the months leading up to her death, two Catholic priests carried out a total of 67 exorcisms.

3. Pat Reading

In the 1980s, the housewife Pat Reading showed strange behaviors and violent outbursts. A priest performed up to 16 exorcisms on her, but nothing helped. Everything remained unchanged until her death from cancer months later.

4. Latoya Ammons

In 2011, Latoya moved with her three children and her mother to a new home in Gary, Indiana, USA. She also observed a strange behavior with them. In addition, vermin attacks took place on the house and there were always strange noises to hear. Latoya sought help from the youth welfare office and doctors as her children behaved more and more strangely. Thus, several people witnessed the events. One of her sons even went to kill Granny to kill her and then ran up the wall. So at least everyone present witnessed it. After this incident, the family decided to exorcism.

5. Janet Hodgson

Probably the most famous case of demonic ghosts in British history is that of the Hodgson's family. She lived in a house in Enfield, which was haunted by a noisy ghost. Things flew through the air, things moved, there was a knock on the wall. Several demonologists perform an exorcism. Critics, however, believe that the events were forged. (The Conjuring 2 is supposed to act on her story)
