Went over to Paradigm mall today with my boyfriend to search for dinner before our movie date. The mall really wasn’t that huge so searching for something to eat wasn’t that big of a chore. Parking and traffic was quite easy as well as alot of people had left for Raya.
In the end, we decided to go to a restaurant called Simple Life Restaurant, that served mostly Malaysian dishes in a more gourmet way. The ambience was really comfortable, and I felt that it was quite suiting for us on a date. I ordered the Grain Rice Nasi Lemak, while my boyfriend ordered the Nyonya Laksa cooked with Brown Rice Bee Hoon.
The broth of the laksa was really good, it was sort of milky, which reminded me of the broth for Fish Head Noodles, it also wasn’t too spicy, carrying alot of flavor behind the noodles. My Nasi Lemak wasn’t bad as well, but it was served in a style too “gourmet-ish” as I frequent my nasi lemaks from roadside stalls.
The meal was pretty satisfying, with the total bill being RM40, but we had it cut down to RM36 as we were using the Hong Leong bank Debit card. We then went on to our movie after the meal.
