Life's good if you have a cat / The story of the cat we named 'Mzuri' (Part 1)

Mzuri could've been the original 'cat that yells'. She has this kindof aching type of meow - if that's even an adjective one can use for meowing LOL.

So after 'adopting' Mzuri via our flat block's chat group and feeling for her sex and giving her her new name, we thought we should get her checked for a chip to find out if she is stray for real or not.

Epic fail!

I don't know what we were thinking, cause she freaked. While driving to the closest vet in a rush, cause they were gonna close in 5mins, she climbed everywhere, yelled like crazy and climbed all over me (the driver). She almost made me crash when she climbed on the steering wheel!

Phew... as we drive into the underground parking lot we realized the biggest trouble actually lies ahead of us, cause now we need to take her inside of the vet shop. At this point her nails were out and her eyes were big and full of fear. I felt so bad for making her scared but also felt like we were doing her a favour in the long run (well so we thought).

Once inside the vet, who said they have a dog currently in the consulting room, we were told to wait as they might be able to help us on the fly since they are closing in 5mins and semi keen to do us and this 'stray' cat a favour.

The news of the dog in the building was pretty scary, and so was waiting. Mzuri's claws were already dug into my skin, I wasn't sure how much longer I could handle it! I tried distracting her, petting her and turning her around everytime she tried to escape my grasp however loving. Then finally the vet had some time to look at her.

She scanned for a chip...

None found she said eventually and gave us a dewormer/flea ointment to put on her neck, plus the most expensive food they had. But shame, we felt she deserved it, she was a stray and needed all the love she could get right? Nope, ironically we were actually the ones who were taken for a ride at the end of the day.

PS - @littlekidogo is me and my partner's concept and it means 'little by little'. ('Kidogo' means little in Swahili) Also he is tall and I am small 😅 if that makes any sense.
