A thought worth 1000$: What If we are reborn...?

in life •  8 years ago  (edited)

According to science we don't know if we have a soul, If we could pass that soul from us to other living things. Science is about facts and research, It only holds true the things we could prove practically, only weighs to evidence. So according to science, No, the reincarnation does not happen.

But what if when we die, everything changes to darkness, we can't see anything but a very faint light at a very far distant point.

What if when we reach that light, it is the light to a hospital room, where we are just born and we are crying because we remember everything from our past life, our friends, family, the struggles we have done and the achievements we have made, and we are crying at the fact that we died and lost everything.

But we can't tell anyone because we are too little, too weak to speak. We have travelled a gruesome path to return to life as we grow we start to forget our past life and focus on the life we have now, but pieces of memory are still in our mind and that memory causes deja vu.

Those awkward dreams we see sometimes, we  know everything was real, everything was true, we have lived that moment, gone through it, but when we wake up everything was gone, and we think of it as just another dream with no basis, but we know everything was true and it happened with us, but we can't remember anything clearly because we have focused too much on living this life, and the memories from past life are very blurry, vague to remember.

What If we are so much determined to do something in this life, because we regret not doing it in the previous life, what if it is the regret of our previous life that would come to our dreams if we sleep and that is why we want something so much that it does not let us sleep.

What if we spend our whole life working on our dreams and even if we achieve it, at the end, we still regret something not doing in this life, and after dying, we still have to travel again because of our regrets, to be born again. And this cycle continues until we are above our regrets and desires, and at that time, instead of rebirth, we go to a peaceful and sacred place and achieve inner peace, and that is the whole goal of us taking the birth at the first place.

Think about that for a second....

I'm not a religious person...more atheistic these days. I use to be Buddhist. I have read a lot about reincarnation though and there are some really interesting stories that make you question things. Like they say if you have a birthmark it indicates how you died in a past life. Some very young children remember past lives and things like being shot (birthmarks in the place they were shot in a past life). People have gone out and found out what these kids remember actually happened. A really good book is Return to Life: Extraordinary Cases of Children Who Remember Past Lives by Jim B. Tucker.

I don't know what I think though. I went to school to be a scientist so it's hard to get past my education when it comes to things like the afterlife and supernatural entities.

Thanks for providing some more information. There is both truth and lie in these things, but what matters is what you believe in and how much you believe in it. As you might know, earth was believed to be flat once and people believed in it.

... 'once'? Just search youtube for 'flat earth'

Well, it is just a saying.

Love this style of thinking, this is the stuff that goes through my head all day everyday

Thanks, so if it goes everyday, what do you make of it?

Great post man...

thanks.

Great post! Thank you.

Thanks

my pleasure

Interesting, do you happen to be a Buddhist ? I think this is more or less Buddhisme, at least it looks a lot like it, their sacred place is nirvana and they also believe in reincarnation, but probably not so much like that, also in Buddhisme you can get punished (for immoral acts), by being reborn as a rat or other such things.

Well I have read an article about budhism a long time ago, I know about nirvana, but not that much about other things. I read a lot about our life journeys and our true goals, so In between these articles, I thought about all these things, worked on what I believe and then worked out an article which I thought, people would be forced to think about what is true life. So that's how I reached here. I don't believe in these things that much, but it is fascinating thinking that way. @iobates

I recommend looking up Nanci Danison, who had an extraordinary near-death experience. One thing she said that I found quite profound is that we're not "human". Our souls are just currently occupying human bodies.

Wow....that's amazing.

Have you studied "soul contracts" ?

No.

No what? I suppose you don't think I am a Christian? lol

I don't suppose anything.

I always wondered, if we lost all our memory, are we still the same consciousness?

If we lost all our memories, We loss all our sorrows and desires.....we don't want much from life than to know what we are, and that is better than a normal person. We find our true self.

Love it!

Thanks.

Of course we try till perfection, till no dieing not no rebirth...

Perfection would be the goal. Ascending one back to the "source" over time, who we are all just tiny little bits and pieces of out here all throughout the known and unknown experiencing.

Very true.

I like it!

I saw this while ago.

Who knows, that maybe 10 mins of existing only inside the flesh of our brains, actually takes and makes up eternity?

It could be.

An interesting post looftee and lots of points to give people reason to think . I would like to suggest a different theory along similar lines that I picked up whilst listening to the philosopher Neil Kramer. Suppose each of us has a 10,000 year existence here on earth comprised of many lifetimes. During our first lifetime our instincts are very base and we are selfish, ruthless and greedy etc but as we progress through different lives with different experiences both new and retained from previous incarnations of our soul, we slowly become more compassionate and modest in our interactions with others and with the earth itself. After many, many reincarnations with the required knowledge and wisdom gained through our experiences, we should be in a position to move on to whatever the next challenge holds. So the world we live in now may well be filled with souls here on their first 'ride' as Bill Hicks would put it, as well as others who are here on their last ride, wise and knowledgeable enough to 'ascend' to the next level. The problem may be that there are more entry level humans than graduating ones. :)

thanks for the post!

Very good thoughts, I like this way of seeing too....thanks @tonyr

Interesting thought. I just finished watching The Discovery on Netflix which deals with life after death. If there is a reset, I wish we would not forget. Such a shame to loose all the experience

If we don't empty over head, we could not learn something new. Would be such a shame not to learn something new and holding only a small amount of experience.

It's our decision if we choose to be open to new thinks, no matter how much we have learned already ;)

Yes, but if knew a lot about a lot of things, we would have a perception about everything without knowing it. But if we don't keep perception, we could learn anything and everything.

Nice one, really thought provoking

thanks

This post gave me hope.

Those are big words for me.

lol science. don't trust it so much. you have a soul.

science don't trust a lot of things.

Science does not know everything!!
Science is also changing all the time.
Nice post!

Yes, that is what I am saying, see In the first para I explained what science has to say now, and after that I wrote about possibilities that could happen... thanks for resteem and upvote.

Very interesting...make me think more of purpose of Life

If we could find the purpose of life, we find everything.

I believe that we have only one purpose on earth. To Love. Love for ourselves, our neighbors, animals, plants and trees. Nothing is more important than love...that is what life is about. I also believe that our souls chose to come to earth.

Love and compassion is what everyone wants to be a better human.

true.

Love? Sure.... but more so to experience.

it is to love and forgive, become light at heart, and be not of this world so you can connect with creation.

becoming light at heart....true.

Yep! I agree with most commenters here that this is an authentic thought provoking article. Especially because it brings lotta food for thought for those on the other side of the fence like; agnostics, atheist and skeptics in general which in fact should watch things from as many perspectives as they can to really chew, swallow and digest the always everlasting possibilities out there to obtain some aware stillness. The very same is true for believers of any sort and kind. ¡Nevertheless! :)

The problem may be that there are more entry level humans than graduating ones. :)

Oh! Now, that's a Quote!!... so, as for the acute @tonyr quote above, it gives me a formidable occasion of not to miss the opportunity to sprinkle my comments with some of the usual ironic sense of humor with which I use to illustrate my point of view as a corollary everywhere sometimes.

Yep mates, certainly an awful lot of people, in their frantic passage through life, not even had the chance to see the light of the hospital room nor have had the time to cry out loud there, to be heard after their born date, before they get back to the source and see themselves going through the loop once again. ;)

¡Upvoted & Resteemed!

Very great post ... I often think that I already expercienced some moments. Really weird that "déjà vu" feeling. What if our actually lives were dreams and once "dead", we wake up and are evaluated for our actions ? Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Upvoted and resteemed ;)

thanks buddy.
