Affirmations are powerful. They are positive statements that we believe and repeat to ourselves regularly. Most people think that affirmations are cheesy and don't work.


In reality, affirmations are an incredibly effective technique to reprogram your subconscious mind for success.

STEP 1: Identify What You Want

Think about all the things you want in your life.

What do you want to change about your life?

What would make your life better?

STEP 2: Write Down Your Vision

Once you have your vision, start thinking about how you'll accomplish it.

Write down as many specific details as possible.

For example, if you want to write a book, write down your title, publisher, genre, length, and the first scene.

STEP 3: Repeat It In Your Mind

Repeat your affirmation out loud to yourself, every day.

The next morning, before you get out of bed, repeat your affirmation out loud, again.

Repeat it again at night before you go to sleep.

Every single day, repeat it to yourself before you start working on your goals.

Affirmations are not complicated. They are not magic. They work because they are repetitive. Your brain is wired to respond to repetition. That's why it's so important to repeat your affirmations every single day.

Your brain will begin to associate your affirmation with your goals and eventually begin to associate your goals with your success. How do you stand out and attract premium clients when they could hire someone else for a fraction of the price?

The key lies in stacking value rather than subtracting cost. Make the services you provide more valuable, and the right clients will be willing to pay the right price for them.

I'm writing this post specifically for my fellow writers, but this shift in thinking can help any type of service-oriented business succeed.

Qualifying potential clients means filtering out those who aren't able to pay enough or who just aren't a good match for you or your services. You can usually figure this out with a few simple questions.
