Through Microsoft, his innovative technological brainchild, fortune initially made its way through “Gate(s)” and then through “Windows” and its evolution made him the richest man in the world for 7 consecutive years.

Be it their successful coding for MITS, which has found its way to the IBM, PC, Commodore VIC-20, BBC Micro and the Apple II or MS-DOS or Windows 95, the common thing of all is about revolutionizing the disk operating systems and about making him the richest man in the world in 1999 with a net worth of $79 billion!

Albeit it is his own hard-earned money, he spent a huge chunk of it on global education and health initiatives as was the case with many other philanthropists, but he hasn’t stopped there. Another point worth mentioning here is that if these reinvented toilets come into usage in the household all over the world, imagine how many trillion liters of water can be conserved, which will be otherwise wasted by means of flushing!

It behoves of a person to achieve something in his life, but at the same time, it is not necessarily behove of a billionaire/trillionaire to be a philanthropist. Moreover, his aim is to save half a million lives through this innovation and calling Mr. GATES a “Sanitation Savior of the Poor” fits the BILL! INDEED!!
