Two families - Two eyes

To begin with, when I thought of writing about this topic, I came across an image sculpted with some invaluable gems of all times.

Let me explain this in detail.

Actually, our first family is 'Permanent Family' and the next one is our 'Temporary Family'???

Do you understand what I mean to say?

Let us consider that we are going to our offices. The moment we step out of our homes, we will be stepping into the wider home of our Temporary family. We will be seeing a lot of people en route to the railway station/airport.

Henceforth I will abbreviate PF for permanent family and TF for temporary family.

Actually speaking, they are not at all connected to us albeit in one way that they are also human beings like us. Once we got inside any public mode of transport, again we will be seeing a lot of our TF members and again in our offices and so on. This will continue till we reach our PF.

All those TF members we have seen right from the morning till night would be suffering from one problem or the other. If we were able to broaden our mindsets, we can feel the positive vibes emanating from our minds.

Let us say that we see a person needing medical assistance. Unfortunately at the same time, we would be having a very important business appointment. What will we do? "To leave or to make him LIVE"

Without wasting a moment, we will save him, I agree, but at some corner of our minds, instead of having the satisfaction of saving a life, a thought of guilty feeling of missing our business appointment must not come.

Let us assume that we are going to some other state to do your office duty and the duration may last a few days to few weeks and anything may happen to us in the meantime.

We may fall ill, have an accident, may lose our invaluable things and so on.

Here you may ask me that isn't it possible for us to call our office colleagues or even our PF members and get assistance from them.

  1. WHAT IF WE WERE UNABLE TO LET THEM KNOW OUR PRECARIOUS SITUATION?
  2. WHO HAS THE MOST CHANCE TO RESCUE US IMMEDIATELY? The answer is none other than temporary family members.

And who knows, maybe the same TF member whom we saved may come to our rescue!

I agree that we must not expect anything for our good deeds, but the thing is that we don't know when a trouble is going to befall us.

The thought of considering the human beings as our TF members won't come all of sudden and hence if we broaden our mindsets, we may not need to take extra effort to accustom our minds to the same.

There is one more thing that we need to take care of. Before getting into the act, please make sure you are helping the right person and not the wrong ones.

With this kind of mindset, we can even put a stop to petty problems that arise between us & our neighbors. Just share the things with them that they don't have and get from them the things that we don't have.

By considering them as our TF members, we can shunt out unnecessary misunderstandings, verbal abuses, physical attacks and so on.

Finally, if we treat both our PF & TF members as our two eyes, we can make this world an ultimate heaven and a joyous place to live forever and ever and ever.......

Many religions with the exception of one or more, teach that we are all one and there is no separation between us. If that is true, than it automatically follows that what you do to others you do to yourself.

This is expressed in the Bible in the verse, "So in everything, do unto others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." - Matthew 7:12.

Another Bible verse in a similar vein is, "...Love your neighbor as yourself..." - Mark 12:31, Luke 10:27

Religions like Hinduism and Buddhism teach that you can experience the oneness if you have been practicing daily meditation seriously and diligently for many years.

Yes @devann, obviously without any second thought! Thanks 🙏 for the comment.
