I think if your getting the macbook solo for video editing then i think its a huge cost. I would take into account other things that you might want to do on your laptop like gaming or game development (as you mentioned earlier in your videos that you do that).

It would be cheaper to upgrade to a newer laptop - with i7 and more storage and/or ssd - AND keep using your current video editing software, than buying a macbook in my opinion.

Cant deny that the macbook looks great and final cut is a nice video editing package.

So you have to decide if its your heart or head thats directing your process.

If you take the money you would have to spend on a macbook, and consider buying a cheaper laptop, this will mean you have more money to spend or invest in cryptocurrencies and treating yourself to other nice things :D
