Not gathering two things at a time. Whoever is glad (inattentive) in the world will mourn in the Hereafter. Whoever much of his grief (fear) in the world will be glad in the hereafter.

How narrow is my grave, complained an Abid.
How little my treasure, upset the hartawan.

"The inhabitants of heaven are the ones who prevail." (Al-Hasr: 20)

The Word of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
"There are two incarnations that ALLAH loved, first the blood of the Martyrs and the tears that fell for fear of GOD."

The Prophet Muhammad said again: "The cry of a sinner over GOD loves than the beads of the saints."

The Prophet said:
"Evil accompanied by sadness .., more GOD likes from a kindness that gives rise to arrogance."

Excessive laughter is a sign of neglect and ignorance. Laughing a scholar of the lost world of science, lost its prestige. Laughing a jahil, the harder his heart and feelings.

The Prophet Muhammad said:
"If you know what I know you will cry a lot and laugh a little."

A Hukama once raved
"I'm surprised to see people laughing at things that would be troublesome, more than a pleasant thing. "

Salafus by weep despite much charity, fearfully not accepted by his worship, and we laugh even though self-conscious is empty of deeds.

We are happy that what we desire is achieved. We cry when we aspire to be tired. Delighted greeted by ripples, grief to pick up sorrow.

The Prophet once said: "Surely the hell is fenced in favor (a neglectful pleasures), while heaven is fenced with trials (the approaching charity)."

Cry yourself,
so that you smile a lot later on.

Cry like Saidina Umar who always beat herself by saying:
"If everyone enters heaven except one, I am afraid I am that person."

Cry as Ummu Sulaim when asked:
"Why are you crying?"
"I have no more children to be battled," he replied.

Weep as Ghazwan is accidentally a beautiful woman. Banned his eyes from looking up to the sky for life, then said:
"Surely you seek trouble with that view."

Ibn Masud r.a. says:
"One who understands the Qur'an is recognized at night when others are asleep, and the time of day when others do not fast, sad when others are happy and crying when others laugh. The silence at the other person speaks, especially when someone else is proud, should the person who understands the Quran is calm, soft and should not be a hard, cruel, negligent, vocal and angry.

Cry here oh self, before you cry there ... off yourself
