Do you ever get home from work or school and feel like you could have done more? studied harder? procrastinated less?
We've all had this feeling at some point or another. How can we avoid this feeling that we wasted a day?
Here are a couple productivity hacks that will help you accomplish more and feel more satisfied with the work and effort you have put in.
Set alarms and stick to them
We all have those days where you set a plan with all the good intentions in the world couldn’t pull you out of bed. Sound familiar?
Having a strict morning routine and committing to it is very important to the success of many people. Waking up early to get some work done is very productive as it limits distractions and therefore gives you a sense of accomplishment and can also reduce stress.
Take a cold shower
This one is somewhat surprising as to the benefits. You can read more here:

Divide your time into chunks
Many of you may not have heard of the ‘Pomodoro Technique’ before now, but it isn’t anything new. Many people have been using it in various forms for a long time. The basic idea is that you choose a unit of time, something like 25 minutes, which is your working time. You then set a timer for that amount of time, and work solidly until the timer runs out. You then take a short break, say 5 minutes, before starting the next cycle. After a predetermined number of cycles, you take a longer break. This is a great way to make sure you are getting plenty of work done while also taking breaks to stay fresh.
Set a schedule for the day with allotted times to finish specific tasks.
Each morning you should take the time to prioritize the top tasks for the day. Be clear with what you write and use more than a three word description. Having these plans and sticking to them is a great way to ensure that you get everything you need done.
Write things you need to do down
Always keep things either in your phone or on a piece of paper near you and don't rely solely on your memory. If you try and remember everything you need to do, you’re going to end up with a lot of unfinished tasks. Don’t take the risk, write down everything you need to remember.
