When trying to send some funds to the supplied email address PayPal displayed a notice which was the first time for me seeing it. The screen capture is below.
It then occured to me that perhaps you have a beingtheuniverse.com web site, yet when trying to access it the following notice was returned.
The universe seems hell bent to tell us something... just not sure what. Maybe your PayPal friendly email address is caught in a catch 22, of sorts, due to present settings?
Where to start - what to write about in this time of great upheaval.

This is the result of me not having been able to renew my website. It has gotten more expensive every year and due to not having fund in my bank account, beingtheuniverse defaulted. I need to look into the paypal thing, but there, too I am not able to get out of this business account. I know that when I delete it, then I won't be able to open up a new account, because I am in Uruguay now.
It is a mess.

Yeah it may be best to leave PayPal alone as they seem to have different policies and fees depending where the recipicant is located; so best to let that sleeping dog lie perhaps.
Paypal really screwed up an online business of mine and another partner, in the early part of this century, when they froze our account temporarily. It was long enough for our servers to be taken down due to non-payment. By the time things were put right the business was ruined. They are not a bank and can fo whatever the hell they want.
Was your site a blogging format as well? Might be great to migrate that content to the blockchain, if you have backups.

The hashtag! I forgot the hashtag. I knew there would be something and being unsure does not help. It would have been much smarter to ask You one more time. C'est la vie, as the French say. I hope there are not a lot of folks jumping on that email. But there are likely bots that do nothing else but scanning the memory fields. 🙈
There is a lot going on with my parents and it does drain my freshly recovered energy. It's moot to ask why, because I know why. It scares the blood out of my face to think that I will end up in this hefty feud. Doubts are creeping in. To leave everything behind that I have mastered so far and to start all over again freaks me out now.
And yes, I have only had troubles with paypal customer support. They are not in the business of helping their clients. One time I had to raise my voice about the being sent around in an endless circle - from one customer service rep to the next and after four hours I ended up where I started. Happened several times. The other issue is that I will have to transfer any funds to my bank account in Hawai'i. That not only takes time, but also fees, as You stated. And a good amount of uncertainty. Who knows what else they come up with. In all, I found out that all these places are for the rich. Since they are not depending on the funds they are shuffling around, there are no problems. Problems only arise when one is like in my case depending on it working. The one time it did, was when I sold some things on ebay before I left Hawai'i. I wonder if Western Union would be possible? My Mom uses it. It is cheap, international and the funds are available within 15 minutes. I would give You my specs after the hashtag. 😌
Here is the last screenshot of my website. I used QWB web builder. It is a quite nice replacement for iWeb, that I made my first website with.
My thing is that I get really obsessed with making it the way I like it. Templates have never worked for me. They drive me nuts, as what I want is seldom compatible with what the masses care for. Which could be called eccentric? 😭

All the fees and hassles certainly makes a good case for crypto mass adoption. The reason PayPal was suggested as my account has surplus cash in it from a past payment. Not wanting to link my bank account it sits there for online uses.
We are in agreement about HTML page templates. There has been many an hour invoiced by me to undo the spaghetti coded markup mess left behind by a web design package put out by Adobe if memory serves.

I love it, because the customer service is exemplary. And while I started with the superior paid version, I told them that I can't do that anymore and they downgraded me to the free version - which made no difference to me. Everything is like before, although I might have less space, but I am no high volume user, so it works like a charm. You should definitely try it. I also love the interface. Very clean and simple. Just what I like. I am sure Your name is available, too!
