Sunday Currently Volume III

Yellow!

I love Sundays! It is my most favorite day of the week. I always feel like there's this stillness I only get to enjoy in Sundays, so I make sure that I get the most of it. ✨

So today, I randomly picked up a German book I got years ago from #Booksale which has a lot of landscape and animal images. It is called Die Aare, and I believe I got it for $2 because it's second-hand book without the book jacket.

Then I saw a birth photograph which reminded me of the first drawing I did on my last year's sketchbook, so I thought of drawing it while I watch gazillions of art hauls in Youtube.

And here's the result:

What do you guys think? I know I can work more with shadows to make it more realistic, but I am already running out of time, and I was itching to draw another one right after. Not a big deal though; this is just a fun sketch I did on my Canson Sketchpad.

And also, I am still in search of a sketchbook I can bring with me everyday that is thick enough for acrylic and oil painting. I like sturdy papers even though I'll coat it with a good amount of white paint before painting. Thinking of getting Moleskine because they're really handy and is readily available in our country. Any suggestion?
