Being in a relationship with a Steemer.

What happens when you love Steemit and so does your partner? A happy Steemit home?

I expect this post may become the first of many on this topic.

Conversations:

Most couples will talk about their day at work or what the kids have been up to. Not in a Steemit house! It’s all about Steemit or cryptocurrency. Yesterday we spent 40 minutes discussing elliptic curve cryptography (see my last post). That’s not normal, and probably one of the reasons we get raised eyebrows when we’re at other people’s homes for dinner.

Time management:

Our day now revolves around Steemit access times. My main Steemit times are mid mornings and evenings. My partner has to fight for his times, I’m too busy hitting the refresh button every 5 minutes! We have more computers than I have shoes, but only one really good Wi-Fi hotspot in the house, the bottom step of our stairs. If one of us cannot be found this is usually where we will be, the hot step!

House work:

I’m not saying our home was always spotless, but it was pretty clean. Now housework is an interference to Steemit time. Why mop when you can blog? I’m considering purchasing a robotic hoover, just need to find a robot that can clean the bathroom too.
I manage to get the laundry in the washing machine, well you can blog whilst it’s washing, right? Plus, it’s still like you’re doing housework. I just never get round to ironing it anymore, my ironing pile is starting to look like Mount Everest.

Sneaking around:

Some women would be worried if their husbands were sneaking off to check their phones or logging on to the computer late at night. Not the wife of a Steemer. It’s like a constant game of hide and seek in a Steemit house, as you battle to find a quiet corner to check in on your Steemit account.

It all sounds to me like the perfect combination for a blissful and long relationship. We’re celebrating four years of marriage tomorrow, and it’s full Steem ahead!

This is a great post and you are right, I suspect there will be more like this to come!!!

Thanks meesterboom- I have a note book of ideas for it already!

You should make a Steemit baby already! LOL

Hold your horses @brianphobos, the internet is full of that kind of thing already, NSFW!
Though I did say to hubby this morning 'I wonder when the Steemit birth will happen- some dad's live coverage of his 'Steemit baby' being born in trending' :0

While my boyfriend isn't on steemit (or any social media for that matter) the conversations have absolutely picked up including what interesting reads, discussions, etc.. I'd had on here. It's even worse when you get @winstonwolfe and @giftedgaia around, the steemit just doesn't seem to stop. (Hence the podcasts we've been doing)

Thanks for posting another ray of sunshine!

I feel like my worlds opened up in terms of the frequency of information and ideas i'm accessing on a daily basis. It definitely filters down into the conversations at home. We haven't had a Steemit free day since I joined. I don't really look at other social media now :)

I'm on the same page with you there. (someday I'll get the bf on here, lol)

Damn, almost forgot that we will celebrate our 6 years in 2 days! Thanks for reminding me!
Oh, and congratulations with yours (^_^)

Thank you reactor, you'd better get to the gift shop tomorrow!

HAHA This is me and @lovenugz daily. Some days she's like "no steemit today for me" and I get sad..

It is addictive! But with such a lovely lady by your side you shouldn't be sad!

Your post was so entertaining. It made me laugh cause I also can't find the time to do regular things. Whatever time left I have in the day I'm creating something for Steemit.
Congratulations on the 4 year anniversary.

Thank you anca3drandom. I may do a comparison of life before Steemit and life with Steemit! How things have changed :)

Well I think that there will be some positive effects as well. Maybe if we could learn how to organize our time better. Be more efficient. That's my case anyway :)

learn how to survive without sleep- that would solve the issue!

Can't do that! Sleep is my best friend. If I don't get at least 8 hours I'm not very efficient.
