There's probably no point being fantastic at one's job or career, if they hate it, or do not feel connected to it in some way. Without the connection and feel, one could make a reasonable career but would obviously lack any joy in what he/she does. However, the ingredients that make a career both fun and successful might not be as far away from us as we think.

Below are three things that could help you get that spark and drive, and go on to being happy. We know them as the three Ps.

The three Ps.

The three Ps include:

  • Passion

  • Purpose

  • Principles

PASSION:

Passion gives the drive. passion sets your pace. the more passionate, the more fervent you are. Your passions are the things you enjoy and love to do. these things easily interest you anytime and bring joy to your day. hence, discovering your passions is definitely important and would be worth your while...

One way you could discover passion is to make a list of the things you love to do. Here's three cool ways you could make that list and get on with finding that passion:

  1. Make a list of the activities you need to have on a daily basis to make you feel satisfied. this is important because then you know the things you consciously would love to do each day. it gives you a clear picture of how you see yourself through the things you like doing.

  2. Make a list of the activities you ideally like doing on a daily basis but which aren't necessary or important. this gives a chance to group and separate the important stuff from the unessential. could go a long way in simplifying and de-cluttering your life as well.

  3. Finally, make a list of the activities you wouldn't or shouldn't do if you were to keep being awesome and passionate about your work or career. Simply cut 'em loose. Stating clear boundaries in your life helps you recognize and correct your mistakes almost immediately, should you make them.

Another way you could start-off is to go down memory lane for a split minute. think of all the different roles you've held or played at some point in your life. what worked for which? which appealed more to you? what did you possibly lack during these times?

PURPOSE:

Purpose acts like eyes for direction in life. with clarity of purpose, you get a sense of fulfilment each time you complete a task that's in line with it. it makes it easier to measure your successes and gives the sweet feeling that you're doing things right and drawing closer to getting what you desire.

Think about the things that give meaning to what you do and identify purpose

PRINCIPLES:

A principled human is a responsible one. this your steel, your ethical and moral standards and beliefs. to be firm is to have principles that make you feel justified by what you do. A vegetarian would definitely not be happy to work in a meat factory. it just wouldn't rhyme, and if he should be approached with such a job description, chances are that he would honour his principles and turn the offer down!

Once again, it's Passion, Purpose, and Principle. discover them, and live your life.

Passion and purpose have to go hand in hand. Wellsaid @pangoli ...

Thank you Ponmile, you've concurred well...

Without the connection and feel, one could make a reasonable career but would obviously lack any joy in what he/she does.

I think people are more productive when they doing something they love. It's just like writing about a topic you have a liking for, the words would just flow freely as compared to writing on just anything. Nice post boss, as always.

Thankchu dear

Thanks for sharing the three Ps. That's my cue.

I adhere vividly with these principles since i was aware of it.
To excel, you must have purpose, be passionate about your purpose and develop a principle to achieve your purpose. So its all about the Purpose.

Thank you for reminding me.

Thank you sir Bob! 🙌
