BACK TO BUSINESS – LET’S PROGRESS TOGETHER

in life •  7 years ago

Of course it is nice to be back at home so I can check on our animals and open the mail, but there is another more rewarding experience…

Moving forward on our land is one of our biggest focuses right now, between all the other demands of life. We still have to prepare a spot for a shipping container, finish the driveway, and build our house, among other things that go along with all that.

Yesterday, one of the projects was leveling the creek base that we will be putting the shipping container on. Thankfully, we don’t have to do it alone. Doing certain things yourself can be much more cost effective than hiring someone, but if you have friends nearby who are also trying to do things themselves, then you can combine efforts!

ENTERE @BLUERTHANGREEN

In the past few years, @bluerthangreen and @allforthegood also relocated their family from Wisconsin to Arkansas. Since we now have properties next to one another, and since we are both in the process of building our homesteads, we can work together!

On a lot of things, @bluerthangreen knows a lot more and has a lot more experience than I do. On other things, @papa-pepper does. Therefore, when we combine our efforts, not only do we have the combined strength of almost three normal men (2 is almost 3, right?) we can also bring different perspectives and understandings to the table.

LET'S WORK

Honestly, when the base was dumped on the land and I used the skid steer that @bluerthangreen owns to try to prepare a spot for the shipping container, I did a pretty good job. You can see @bluerthangreen admiring my work in the photo above. However, I was just eyeballing it and guessing, so I did not exactly make it level.

In addition to having experience, @bluerthangreen also has a laser level and other tools. By using this equipment we can determine what level actually is.

Here you can see the next generation learning by experience. A couple young sons of @bluerthangreen and @allforthegood came along too, as well as Monster Truck the Pepper, who is one of my @little-peppers.

Soon, work was being done and progress was being made! As I mentioned earlier, it is very rewarding to be moving forward and working towards attaining your dream. It is also a huge blessing to not have to do it alone, and to be able to have friends help along the way.

It was nice to see how much more skilled @bluerthangreen was at using this equipment, but since it is his, I guess that makes sense. I can't wait to be more help to him too as he progresses. Eventually, by our combined effort, we will hopefully both be where we want to be in less time that if we had to do it alone.

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Job well done @papa-pepper

Happy if you can do it yourself yes @papa-pepper. while we enjoy nature. hopefully quickly finished poor work. success is always for @papa-pepper

It is such a blessing to have extra hands to do any job, it makes it go quicker! I am so happy you have some great friends and neighbors to work together to build all your dreams!

I'm glad you came back! I hope you win as much money

This just resonates the power of unity. We achieve more when we try to do things the joint effort of like minds. Great work and interesting post @papa-pepper.

Also, you brought me a hand band of steemit from mexico. How do I get it? Do I need to send you my contact here in Mexico through chat or what? Thank you, Appreciations.

There's nothing like team work to get the job done ;-)

It is amazing what you can do if you just try it. A piece of equipment or a auto lazer level to having animals, just read and learn from those who know and you can always get through what ever project is on your plate. @papa-pepper thanks for proving that this is true almost on a daily basis!

Working on the homestead is always good! Keep on, Keeping on!

Team work makes the dream work!

Your a great example of this papa!

Such an encouraging post! It feels so good to work together on a project and feel that synergy, like when you and your dad helped with the goat corral. Great to have helpful neighbors worth complimentary skill sets :)
