In Singapore for car to heavy vehicle licence has 3 steps at that time they called class 3 , 4 and 5. Class 3 was below 3 ton vehicle to drive. For class 4, you can drive for buses and container within 22 tons vehicle. For class 5, you can drive any of vehicle and with the mobile crane as well.

Every class to upgrade need to go for the course at the driving centre and each must have at least one year experience for each class. Once you are caught, you will gone everything and start from the class 3 again.

Another traffic rule on the road, they have point system to control all the road user. They give 12 points for a year but graciously they allow us to combine 2 years so we have 24 points for every 2 years. If any offence of traffic rules, they will deduct from 24 points that you have until 1 point left within 2 years you are still allow to drive.

If you cross a red light, they will deduct 12 points from your licence points. If you are speeding, they will deduct you minimum 6 points and its depending on how often the speed limit you are driving can up to 12 points they can deduct from you.

If you park at the double yellow lane after allowance hours, they will deduct 3 points. Illegal U turn at traffic light for other place, they will deduct 6 points. If you drive at bus lane, will deduct 3 points, if you stop at the bus stop, they will deduct 6 points and so many other rules and regulation comply together with fine.

Even if you fail to show the signal, minimum 3 points and fine as well. If you don’t pay fine for any offences for the traffic rule, you need to go to court and your licence can be confiscated or go to jail. So, in Singapore the driving licence is very precious for us and it is valuable.

Sometimes they have road block to check all the drink drivers and licences. During the road block, you can not escape from the road block. Traffic police always patrolling all the time on the road and even they spy with the speed camera from the good hiding spot.

Normally all the road block they spot check on near popular area for the clubbing and city area as well as other popular area. The operation was always happen and every road user scare of it unless you don’t have any offences. At that time, even they will check all the vehicles, registration and everything.

In Singapore, actually no place to speeding so most of Singapore drive who love to test their vehicle, they go to Malaysia and test their vehicle top speed how much their car produce. Some will go to Pasir gudang race track at Johor Bahru, Malaysia which is 20 mins drive from Singapore.

Some will go to Sepang International race track ,Kualar Lampur. For the off road driver and rider, they have planty place to go and enjoy their hobby.

For the dirt bike user in Singapore they can go to Tanah Merah, Kranji and Lim Chu Kang to play their off road bike to enjoy their hobby in Singapore.

Normally, vehicle modification is very restricted in Singapore so all the vehicle need to go for inspection every year after 3 years of vehicle usage. They will check your tyre, exhaust for emissions systems, all the lighting and all the glass door.

Even lighting can not install for third party products. For the glasses, they are not allow to put any shade sticker on it. If you have any offences on your vehicles, you are not allow to renew the road tax, insurance and vehicle registration until you pass the inspection test.

Can not do any bribery for everything in Singapore. Every government service employee scare to loose their job and reputation because their pay and benefit are better than any other.

They said not worth it to do if they get caught. If you do it they will be so angry and even can make a police report. Mostly everyone need to follow rules and regulation everywhere.
