Nice! I explore this probably from a different angle in my book City of a Million Dots. The basic premise being a father trying to remove the epigenetic programming from his son by hijacking his movements and actions and then committing his son's suicide causing a blip in the epigenetic programme... his other son, to another mother, is taking it further - his mother committed suicide in front of him to break the link to his father and this son, Neon, is not content to take out the epigenetic code he wants to go all the way back to genetic code, achieving the ultimate freedom of choice. Of course Genetic coders don't want freedom of choice, they want a bug world, obedience to the species... makes for one hell of a mess.

Not sure if you have read Philip K Dick he explores multiply realities in many of his books. As Terry Gilliam said:

"'For everyone lost in the endlessly multiplication realities of the modern world, remember: Philip K. Dick got there first."
