As I mentioned in my introduction, I'm very good at cooking fish dishes. And now, I would like to introduce to everyone one of my favorite dishes. It is "Steamed fish with beer".
Anyone who has heard of this food must have known that it is a popular dish in the countryside. It is great when friends, family or relatives are sitting together on the table with a plate of steamed fish with beer.

Just thinking of holidays in South East Asia like Tet holiday in Vietnam, with many fatty foods, you should add steamed fish with beer to your menu to refresh the taste.
Steamed fish with beer will help to reduce the fishy smell. Beside, fish steamed has to be eat immediately because you can not eat when it's getting cold. Health experts have also advised that we should eat 2-3 meal with fish a week because of eating fish is very good for health. Fish is best to eat in the evening because the fish has a relatively low level of cholesterol.
This dish is not only good for your health but preparation and cooking is also extremely easy.

  1. Preparation
    -Fish: You can choose the type of fish you like to eat (amur, carp, catfish, ...) and should choose big fish. If fewer people eat, then you should buy pieces.
    -1root of galanga: wash, shave, cut the fiber
    -1 root of ginger: washed, shaved, beaten
    -Onion, dill: clean, cut about 3cm
    -Chilli: (more or less depending on the taste of each person)
    -Beer: you can use any kind (should buy the appropriate price)

  2. Steps of cooking
    -Clean fish (if your fish is too big, you should have deep cracks 0.5cm it): mix fish with ginger, chili, fish sauce for 15-30 minutes.
    -There are a lot of ways to steam fish but I will say the way I usually do. I often steamed directly with rice cooker: put mixed fish in a saucepan and add dill, galanga, citronella and pour beer into 2/3 fish pot and then cover for about 20 minutes for cooked fish
    -During the waiting time, you should make sauce (this is also the decisive factor for your fish is delicious or not): delicious fish sauce + chilli + garlic + ginger + sugar. You should taste yourself so that it is suitable for your taste.
