Nowadays scenes of children playing with the game are commonly seen. The gardens play quiet, while the kids are more comfortable playing with the gameplay, watching videos on Youtube or online games.

Not entirely wrong indeed, but giving the device in children can make the interaction between children with parents is reduced. In fact, this interaction is needed for optimal child growth and parents are able to establish a warmer relationship in children and make children happy.

Child happiness is not just about fulfilling material, clothing and food needs, but the level of child happiness is important. Therefore, childhood happiness has a positive effect on cognitive growth or learning process, self-worth, and social skills and character of children as adults.

"Likewise with the growing social and emotional aspects of development, children who are happy since childhood have a greater chance to become individuals who have positive emotions and have high satisfaction in life later in life," explained Elizabeth Santosa, M. Psi, Psi, SFP, ACC , on the occasion of Lactogrow Grow Happy, at Green House, Multivision Tower, Jakarta, Friday, (27/7/2018).

What Elizabeth needs to know again is that childhood happiness must be the most influential factor of her happiness in adulthood when compared to other sources of happiness, such as academic success, job title, or wealth.

"In early 2018 we conducted a study to find out the meaning of family happiness, as a result, we found that children feel happy while playing with their parents, even happier playing with their siblings or brothers," added Gusti Kattani Maulani, Brand Manager of Nestle Lactogrow.

The study also reveals, when assessing the characteristics of children's happiness, most parents only pay attention to physical traits. For example, when a child shows a cheerful and actively moving expression. Meanwhile, According to Myers & Diener (1995), the happiness of children is not a joy for a moment, but more to feel comfortable, safe, and accepted in the social environment.

On the other hand, to be a happy child, children must get enough nutrition for growth and development. Lack of balanced nutrition intake, can affect the growth and happiness of children.

"Children who eat a full and balanced nutritious diet will have a healthy digestive tract, so it can absorb nutrients properly. In the end, the child will have a good appetite and sleep patterns, can support to grow and develop more happily and optimally," said DR. Dr. Saptawato Bardosono, MSc, medical nutritionist Faculty of Medicine University of Indonesia.
