Leo Lunar Eclipse - Building Our Joy

Mmm Eclipse Season yet again. What will it bring this time?

The first of two eclipses is a Total Lunar Eclipse, which means that it’s a Full Moon. A Full Moon is always a full illumination or realization of the seeds that were planted at the New Moon, and the fact that it’s an eclipse points towards this one having a deeper, more karmic element to it.

This lunar cycle began at the Capricorn New Moon and has been about building our vision into the world, whatever that means to you.

And so at the Leo Lunar Eclipse, we can realize an embodiment of that vision, perhaps specifically relating to what brings us joy.

In this life we can have all sorts of visions and we can build all sorts of things. Some will bring us more joy than others, and some more will bring us none at all.

And so what brings you joy? Is what you’re building for yourself a joyful process or is it more just grinding the gears with a grimace on your face, constantly reassuring yourself that it’s simply something you need to do?

If it’s not the former, the joyful process, then this Leo Lunar Eclipse could provide some insights into how to get on that track a bit more. If what you’re building is joyful, then this eclipse could provide some insights into how to further and deepen this for you.

And no matter where your process falls on the joy-offering spectrum, there of course are still some issues that might be holding you back in one way or another.

The Sticking Points

With Venus on the South Node in Aquarius, we may find that some long-standing relationship patterns want to be examined and worked with in a new way. I’ll definitely invite sticking with that process, being patient, and not doing anything too hasty in this regard. This one could also manifest karmically as stuck patterns in our mode of relating to ourselves or to financial resources. How are these seeking to be transformed?

Also, in a more big-picture view, how does what we’re building play into our place in the Universe? How does what we’re building affect our relationship to the Absolute? It’s important to not lose sight of this as we’re busy doing our worldly things. It’s important to remember that there’s always something far bigger and more important than whatever we’re spending our days creating, working towards, and dreaming about. For if we achieve our goals but lose sight of the wonderful Cosmic Soup that we’re all swimming in, they will ultimately be hollow and unsatisfying.

It’ll last for the next couple of weeks until the next eclipse, so clear your schedule, get a fresh journal, dust off your meditation cushion, and open yourself to the beauty of the unseen dimensions of life as they knock on the door of your consciousness.
