It well known in the intelligence community that there are rules and techniques to control people's minds.

Through messaging, media, music, tv, film, and politics you can sway thoughts and opinions.

I wrote this song Television based on mass media's power and influence in the US.

Sometimes it is simply news, other times it is pure propaganda... and it's finally coming to the surface these past weeks. It is not a new concept, history is known for repeating itself. I studied the Reconstruction era in my masters program... news, film, postcards, events, etc... where used to take away civil liberties from "African Americans" based on false information. It is detrimental to all people, not just one class, race, color, or religion.

The point of the song is to expose that media has multiple purposes, mainly entertainment, but also to lead people into a certain direction.

I used the public domain film "Metropolis" as a backdrop. With no music video budget you have to be as creative as possible. I also recorded the song in my living room.

Some people think of music as just music. I see music as something more, sometimes it is a platform in itself. As an artist, I try to incorporate my knowledge into the craft.
