Interview With An Old Hillbilly

in life •  8 years ago

Last summer when Patrick's dad came up to visit, we asked if we could shoot a video of him talking about growing up in the 30's and 40's. I got to hear stories I had never heard before and was entranced. I have listened to this several times and am so happy we thought to do this to have something to pass down to our future grandchildren.

It is a bit long but worth a listen!

Simpler times are more beautiful times. And nothing beats listening to stories and milking wisdom from the older generations. Lovely post. Upvoted!

Thank you!

My Dad was one of thirteen kids. I wish I had recordings of all the times the family got together and told stories of when they were growing up. Unfortunately, I don't remember a lot of the stories.

He doesn't look that old to me; more like a contemporary.
