There are many theories on how the Grand Canyon was formed.
There is a similar canyon on Mars.

Some say it was an electrical charge that connected between Earth and Mars thousands of year ago.
Even Clif has postulated about the theory in some of his interviews.
We will never know.

Yes, after seeing the canyon, I have to say that I subscribe to the electrical discharge explanation with the caveat that there were other planets involved and interesting enough, there is no debris field.
So many unexplained and hidden things...like Egyptian artifacts that were found in caves and removed.

The colours in the different rock layers represent true earth tones and I am very thankful that I could go and actually see it.
