Never Compromise My High Standards or to Cause Others to Compromise My High Standards

in life •  3 years ago

If I were asked to name the one thing I would never accept as a colleague, I would say "not compromise my high standards or to cause others to compromise theirs". In this article we look at the impact of human factors on company standards. We also look at how to improve your high standards and what to do when others try to compromise your high standards. After reading this article you may be more confident about how to deal with the people in your life who are not keen on maintaining your high standards.

It is easy to compromise when it comes to your own high standards. We all have to try and reach agreement at some level. You can often find that people will compromise as long as they get something out of it. You cannot expect people to maintain high standards if they are not getting anything out of it. This means they are compromising your high standards for nothing.

However, when it comes to company standards, you need to be more robust. You cannot rely on other people's willingness to compromise your high standards for them to do the same. You need to make your own decisions.

We can see the impact of other people compromising your high standards by looking at the way some companies have handled complaints. Some companies have actually been sued because they have gone to the extremes in their attempts to compromise. These companies have used the threat of a lawsuit to get complainants to stop making complaints. They have even used illegal methods such as replacing the head of diversity department because of complaints. The result has been that the company has refused to maintain its high standards and has been forced to go into receivership.

It is interesting to note that in these situations the company who was sued made an effort to demonstrate their high standards, and yet they in fact compromised those same standards. How can this be acceptable? And how can we expect others to do the same? No one is going to hold themselves to higher standards than they themselves have failed to uphold.

It is important not to compromise your high standards simply because someone else is willing to do so. The last thing you need to do is to put yourself in a position where you can be compromised. There is simply no reason to do this. In fact, the opposite is true. If someone is willing to compromise your high standards for them to gain your approval, then why should you?

Your company is important and you need to have high standards. However, you need to be careful to ensure that your standards are not being lowered to meet the needs of someone else. If you were to do so you could in fact be sued by the very person that had been cheated. This could potentially result in huge financial losses for you and your business. Therefore, always make it a point to follow the law and ensure that you never compromise your high standards.

Not all standards have to be met in order for your business to be successful. Sometimes it is possible to reduce your standards to make sure that other areas are not being compromised. This is the only way to ensure that your company runs efficiently and effectively without the need to compromise your high standards and the trust that you have earned.

By lowering your standards and compromising a bit, you can hopefully get the best deal on a project. Of course, this will not always guarantee success but it will reduce the risk and give you the chance to focus on other things. The less you compromise the higher your chances of success.

You may be able to reduce your standards for one individual and raise your standards for another. However, this does not always work out well for you. There are many different factors involved. For example, if the other person is in a professional capacity, you need to take into consideration their previous performance in order to determine whether they should be trusted with sensitive information. The same thing goes if they are using another person's name in an attempt to secure jobs. It is your job to use your best judgment here and weigh up the pros and cons.

If it's at all possible, never compromise your high standards or to cause others to compromise theirs. High standards are important because they help maintain a level of trust and pride in you, as well as your project. If your standards are too high and you feel that you could be in danger of losing the trust of others, then your standards have to come into line. Otherwise, you risk making a mistake which can have long lasting consequences.
