Using Feedback Sandwich in the Classroom

Positive-Improve is an online management course that helps improve employees through several tools. The program focuses on communication, conflict resolution, and conflict management. These four areas to help employees internalize and improve their performance and interpersonal relationships. In addition, the program teaches students how to use the feedback they get from others to improve their own performance.

The course includes activities and exercises to help participants practice public speaking, constructive criticism, giving feedback, accepting responsibility for their actions, and assertive public speaking skills. Public speaking is often associated with difficult situations that involve higher emotions and a tendency to use power or assertiveness when speaking in public. The course therefore, teaches students to practice various assertive public speaking techniques by using a fictional company. Using this fictitious company, participants are shown how to give constructive feedback, accept responsibility for their actions, practice giving feedback, and assertive public speaking. In order to practice the skills needed to improve their own performance, participants are encouraged to make a personal goal and work towards it. This encourages participants to set clear goals that they can achieve and work towards achieving these goals.

This interactive training uses a five-step process to teach its students how to give constructive feedback, accept responsibility for their actions, practice giving feedback, and act in a way that is aligned with their goal. The five steps are: identifying the problem, finding the solution, analyzing the solution, implementing the solution, and reviewing the results. In the first stage, students identify the problem. In the second stage, they find the solution. In the third stage, they analyze the solution. In the fourth and fifth stages, they implement the solution and criticize the results.

In the third stage, students identify the problem by giving a detailed description of what they do and what they don't like about a certain activity or result. For each activity, the description starts with an overview of the problem. After this, they give detailed descriptions of their own actions as well as the actions that they would take if the problem occurs again. In the second stage, students identify the solution by finding one that is actionable. Students will then describe how they applied the solution in real life.

This system gives students a structured structure for their critique, which builds on the previous two steps. The fifth step of the system involves a summary of the actionable suggestions, which students use to implement in their lives. They also give some examples of their solutions, which they later review with a facilitator, and finally, sum up their suggested actions in a per point value.

At the end of each phase, students check off their suggestions by giving a reason and a value why they support their suggestions. At the end of the whole program, students collect the feedback sandwich on a sheet. Next, they arrange the notes in an attractive format. Finally, they compile their information in a cohesive whole by creating a script to present their recommendations in their next meeting. The purpose of all this is to give learners a chance to review, understand, and act on their suggestions.

As a tool, feedback sandwich is very flexible and can be used in a number of different settings. It is not at all critical for teachers to use it, but it is useful as a reference for teachers to give to their students. When students are motivated and given a reason to give constructive feedback, then they will be highly motivated to use the suggested ideas in their own lives as well.

Evaluative techniques like this one have been shown to be extremely effective when used in the learning and teaching processes. This leads to more positive learning and retention of information. A positive-improvement program is therefore not about merely providing a framework for teaching, but is about encouraging learners to actively participate in the lessons. It builds on established teaching methods like the balanced scorecard and applies them to the real world.
