আমাদের একনম্বর ধাপ হবে জীবনের লক্ষ্য নির্ধারন করা। আপনার জীবনের লক্ষ্য কি? আপনি কি হতে চান ? বিশ, তিরিশ, চল্লিশ বছর পর আপনি নিজেকে কোন স্থানে দেখতে চান সে নির্ধারন করে ফেলুন আজই । আপনি আপনার লক্ষ্য গুলোকে ভাগ করে রাখতে পারেন যেমনঃ ক্যারিয়ারের লক্ষ্য , অর্থনৈতিক লক্ষ্য, শিক্ষা অর্জনের লক্ষ্য , পারিবারিক জীবনের লক্ষ্য ইত্যাদি ।জীবনের বিভিন্ন দিকের লক্ষ্য নির্ধারণের জন্য বিশ্লেষণ করতে হবে।
লক্ষ্য নির্ধারনের সময় নিজের মনকে বেশি প্রাধান্য দিতে হবে, পরিবার বা সমাজ কি চাচ্ছে সেটার দিকে নজর দেওয়া যাবে না।জীবনটা যেহেতু আপনার তাই জীবনের সব মুল্যবান সিদ্ধান্ত গুলো আপনাকেই নিতে হবে। আপনার সিদ্ধান্তের ফল আপনাকেই ভোগ করতে হবে, সেটা ভালো হোক আর খারাপ হোক।
