I guess I kinda got my wish...

Today was a normal day... wake up, get ready for practice, drink some coffee... You know, normal "start my day" stuff. But as my band Sacrifice The Truth and I were rockin' away, I happened to take a glance outside and noticed that it had started snowing!

Now I'm originally from Texas and when I was growing up, I didn't really get the pleasures of playing in the snow. Although some places in Texas this year have gotten more than we have in Missouri... And that has made me very, very sad, because I've been wishing and hoping for some snow! I know that it's cold and unsafe to drive in, but I just love it when we get it! I love playing in it with the kids and snowball fights, snowmen, and snow angels! Something I never got to do as a child. Plus the river is just absolutely beautiful with snow everywhere! I'm hoping to get some shots of that when we get more than just a dusting that only lasts for a few hours... For now here's another view out my back door!

Needless to say practice was cut short for safety reasons since our drummer lives in a neighboring town, and we live super close to the river. So the road can be a little tricky on and around the bridge if there's any kind of ice or snow. I know that it's not much snow at the moment, but considering we weren't even supposed to get anything today, I'm happy to see another snow this year. Even if it is just a dusting. They're saying we might get close to an inch today, and I'm really hoping that's how much we'll get! More to play in! ;)

Other than that, we're just sitting around making wings and salad for dinner, waiting on the Super Bowl to start. We don't usually watch much football, but we do love the commercials and fun that comes along with the game. My cousin, Tom came over from next door and is going to watch and eat dinner with us. I'm rooting for the underdogs, the Eagles since the Patriots have won for the past couple of years... I mean come on. Haha!

My husband and I were snuggling on my recliner earlier and someone was a little jealous... Haha! Baelyn is my little sugar butt. And as you can tell, she is not amused. Davis calls her the princess kitty, because she is so snobby and particular. But I suppose that's my fault for babying her so much. She was also bottle fed when her mother was killed by the heat a few years ago during the summer that Baelyn was born. So I think that's why she bonded with me so much.

I hope that you all have a fun and safe Super Bowl Sunday! Hopefully we'll be able to play in the snow later and I can get some shots of the fun!

Thanks for looking and hope to see you again!

We were driving home when it came down! Bryan and I were both like "huh? Snow? Didn't think we were supposed to get any!" Haha! Hope you guys are staying warm on this cold night!

Right!? I thought we were supposed to get the winter mix on Tuesday... But, they didn't cancel school here so it must not be too bad... :(

Global warming!!

btw nice cat :D

Haha! Thanks!

Youre welcome :)

A form of AIDS exists in cats.

Hope you guys are warm and cozy! This snow really surprised us as well!

We are indeed! ;)

You can have some of our snow if you'd like. I'm getting tired of shoveling it off the sidewalk... :-)

I would love to take it but I'm sure a lot of people around here would be so mad at me if I did that... HAHA!

Love your optimism about the snow. I guess its true that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I grew up in Connecticut and can't stand the snow. I hated the snow even growing up, lol. So crazy how you love to play snowball fight and making snow angels. Anytime my friends asked me to go play with them out in the snow I would look at them like if they had three heads growing. Baylen is adorable!! She looks like she runs the house. hehe, I hope you had a wonderful super bowl Sunday. Peace and Blessings.

Yeah that's how most people are here too. But I've never seen more than a foot of snow... If even that much! And thank you! She's my baby! Hope you have a great week!
