Anyone who has ever lived through a tragic event or difficult time in their life has most like experienced what I call the fog of uncertainty. This is a time when all, your plans are changed if not lost. You can’t see beyond the circumstances.
This fog can be extreme for those people such as myself who are control freaks and feel they must take charge of all situations.
I offer some tips and encouragement.
Do not attempt to plan while you are in the moment of the event. If you feel you must, then write down your plan of action and file it away. It does you no good to dwell on it or play it over and over in your mind. It will only add to the anxiety.
Write down your thought and feelings. This moves the feelings from the mind. File this away also and again do not dwell here.
Surround yourself with friends and family but only those who will uplift you and encourage you.
Above all do not give up and surrender. As long as there is life there is hope.
