I don't think the human mind is capable of understanding itself. I say this as a psychiatrist, having spent my life studying it. Consequently I am sure that there are a whole range of abilities that we posess, yet cannot wholly fathom. Our limitation is in our need to understand how everything works, as opposed to just being open to our experience and going with it. That seems to be what these guys have been doing. Just being open.
