I was able to get admission in the admission test of any of the biological faculties of Jahangirnagar University. But the public health and informatics chose to discuss with the family. Many were very surprised to hear that. Why is public health suddenly leaving well-known and good things like pharmacies, genetics and microbiology?But I was confident in myself.Actually the matter is so important and the opportunity to do this work is so much that I know I can do something good in this case.'Public Health' is a lot unknown to our Bangladeshi students but it has a great reputation in the world. Based on which 2011 'Jahangirnagar University' public health and informatics section was started.The subject of public health or public health education is the study of human disease. As well as discover the methods of prevention and management.The subjects are mainly taught in human body, biochemistry, anthropology, epidemiology, biostatistics, reproduction and public health, maternal child health, family planning research methods, occupational health, health management, hospital management, research methodeology, programming and software development.Apart from this, going to different hospitals or laboratories, we are ready for the profession by participating in the seminar.There is a great opportunity to build a career in public health. America, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan and Thailand give scholarships for higher education in this regard. Public health graduates are given preference in various international organizations, including the World Health Organization, UNDP, UNFPA, ICDDR.Apart from this, there are employment opportunities in organizations such as Save the Children, FH-360, IDRC. In Bangladesh, there is a great demand for public health experts in the Department of Health. In addition, public health graduates can work under Public Health Engineering Department, Environment, Nutrition Planning and other ministries under the government.Doctor's work to cure diseases, but public health experts work to prevent disease. Many people are now interested in reading about this importance.
