"At this place, your bone will never ever break again," said the doctor to my 7 year old self.
Shortly before I fell from the bike and broke my arm.
"Great," I thought. "Maybe, if I'll break my arm at all possible places, I can develop something like a 'super-arm' - an unbreakable-power-arm."
Over the next few years it happened a few times again. I was one of those kids who would always try the things that for sure would end up at the doctor's practice.
Soon I realised that instead of developing a super-arm, it might be better to slightly change my behavior.
The great point that the doctor made though: As long as the incident isn't fully healed, it would be devastating and painful to rip the cast open again. Time and stillness are needed to heal the fracture.
Yet once healed, the place of injury will be stronger than ever. Even better: We learned and are better prepared.
Moral of the story: Every time we fall, have patience, and let it heal, we become a slight little bit more "super". ;)

Very nice story with a very nice moral. We all need to learn to take more time to heal, mentally, physically and so forth.
