Yesterday my daughter had her annual school ceremony and we had a lot of fun.
The kids always love big events in their school and my daughter had the annual event named Unwind in her school and this time it was me and her only ( not the entire family). So we had pretty good time, having fun and food there. Their school organizes this event as a mega event and kids from higher classes like class 8/9/10 are given responsibility to run some booths that have games and other fun events. We had to buy tokens to spend in these booths and it was good to see the kids getting some exposure in their early days on the business sense. Every booth was guarded with at least one teacher, so they could guide and help the kids run the business.
Overall, it was a good time spending. Their school has got a nice auditorium where the children were performing with their programs. It gives them opportunity to perform in front of a large audience and I think, it gives lot of confidence to them.
And a lot of decorative sets were placed at various places, to give the venue a nice look.
And they had two more stages, where children from lower classes were allowed to perform. And a lot of stalls for food and snacks. So overall, it was a full day event followed up by a musical event in the evening.
It kinds of reminded me about our childhood vs theirs. The exposure the kids are getting now a days, makes them a lot smarter than us. But its equally important to safeguard them because there are good and bad in everything. So as a parent, its our duty to be with them and have all the fun, till they are grown up and know what is good or bad for them.
And these memories will cherish with them forever. Few days back, One of our friend died of lungs Cancer and his son is a friend of my daughter. His father always used to accompany him everywhere, but this time, we saw him alone. That reminded me how important it is for us to enjoy the time with the kids. If you want to see, then have a look at his profile at https://www.facebook.com/tapan.jena.7906 , can you believe he is no longer with us ? Its sad but true. I spent some time with his son, but I could feel he was missing his father.
Life has no guarantee. So enjoy every moment as you can to the fullest.
