Colour Therapy and Healthy Lifestyle- Fat to fit in 12 weeks

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

Since starting my Fat To Fit in 12 Week Challenge, 4 weeks ago, I have become quite knowledgeable on colour therapy thanks to a combination of walking and audio books. I have since integrated it into my challenge...in parts.

Did you know that food can be better for you mixed with the right colours? Apparently so.

Clean eating

Take, for example, clean eating. I have learned that on a plate, a variety of 'happy colours' will make for better nutrients and aid digestion. Using a white plate will allow the colours of food to become more vibrant, enjoyable and nutritious!

Apparently yellow, orange and green are great colours to see on a plate. Add neutral colours to create a larger dish. Some extreme groups only eat natural and raw foods, full of this vibrancy! I have not gone to these extremes, but I do put carrots, parsnips and peas together in a roast!

Intense Exercise

Wearing stimulating colours will boost exercise and blood flow. Red is a great exercise colour and can raise your fitness tolerance whilst creating that extra motivation you desire.

Meditation

Although not technically a colour, white is the most effective meditative colour, because it is completely neutral and opens the minds eye to focus solely on yourself. Visualising a white candle is a popular choice for mediation

Walking

To walk for fitness and meditation, requires a combination of mindfulness and energy, so the colour balance has to be right. Green is great to get in touch which natural energies, but needs a trim of motivational colour such as orange give it a boost.

Sleep

For a good nights sleep relaxing colours are important in the bedroom and will encourage better energy for the next day. Pastel colours are great for bedrooms, particularly blue or lilac.

Unless your name is Christian Grey...

That's all for today folks. Be interested to hear any thoughts on colour therapy as I find it very interesting!
