Arise: The Prophecy of the Condor and the Eagle

in life •  8 years ago  (edited)

There is a prophecy

that appears across Amazonian, Incan, Andean Quechua,
New Mexican Hopi, Guatemalan, Honduran and Mexican Mayan,
and Ecuadorian Shuar traditions

of the Condor and the Eagle.

The Condor
represents
the South:
heart, intuition, nature, and the feminine.

The Eagle
represents
the North:
mind, rationality, industry, and the masculine.

The prophecy says that humanity split along these lines in ancient times, and that

the Eagle would dominate and drive

the Condor to near extinction

over a 500 year cycle (the 9th Pachakuti) that began in the 1490s–

this coincided with the conquest of the New World,
the terrorization and attempted eradication of the natives,
and the imported extraction economy that rapes and pillages the Earth.

The struggle continues.

The Prophecy of the Condor and Eagle foretells that

the potential for symbiotic co-creation would rise again
at the end of the dark age of materialism over nature,

during a period of great expansion

through exchange of indigenous knowledge
with the technology of science

that will balance yin and yang,
masculine and feminine,
heart and mind,

and bridge the cultures of North and South America.

[T]he condor and the eagle will have the opportunity to reunite and fly together in the same sky, along the same path. If the condor and eagle accept this opportunity, they will create a most remarkable offspring, unlike any seen before.

However, most powerful is the message it offers about consciousness; it says that we have entered a time when we can benefit from the many diverse ways of seeing ourselves and the world, and that we can use these as a springboard to higher levels of awareness. As human beings we can truly wake up and evolve into a more conscious species. – John Perkins, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man

The 500 year cycle of power struggle and conflict ended in the 1990s, and
we find ourselves in a unique moment in human history,
a remarkable place of transition
prophesized as a New Age, the Third Millennium, the Age of Aquarius,
the Beginning of the Fifth Sun,
or the end of old calendars and the commencement of new ones
depending on the culture.

The Prophecy foretells our
return to
native ways
and regeneration of our
Pachamama = Earth
community
when the Condor and Eagle
reunite.

When the Condor and Eagle meet, there will be peace.

We have been waiting five hundred years. The Inca prophecies say that now, in this age, when the eagle of the North and the condor of the South fly together, the Earth will awaken. The eagles of the North cannot be free without the condors of the South. Now it’s happening. Now is the time. The Aquarian Age is an era of light, an age of awakening, an age of returning to natural ways. Our generation is here to help begin this age, to prepare through different schools to understand the message of the heart, intuition, and nature. Native people speak with the Earth. When consciousness awakens, we can fly high like the eagle, or like the condor. – Willaru
