Having siblings are the best, but it is even better if your the youngest sibling.

Being the eldest sibling takes so much pressure and responsibility. He is the one who creates rules and does the discipline. The second sibling is the reason why there are rules and usually the one caught in the middle. And the youngest sibling does not apply any of those rules and lives by her own regulations.

Being the youngest sibling is always the favorite. Gets more attention than the others,usually gets special attention. The ones that should be understood most of the time. Though youngest sibling is usually said to be spoiled and less intelligent than the older siblings they are naturally risk takers. But youngest sibling actually have a lot of good characteristic that youngest sibling should be proud of.

Let me share some Characteristics a youngest sibling have.

• Outgoing, since the younger sibling has less responsibility,having less worry around the house. Carefree personality that is what the youngest sibling have.

• Good listener, they tend to listen well not only to their older sibling but to people older than them. Being used to being told what to do in almost everything so they become good listener. Since they listen well they are more trustworthy so they can keep secrets more than the older siblings.

• Confident, yes surely simply because all the praises and attention are on them. All eyes are on them. Parents usually let them do what they want.

• Highly social, the youngest sibling are always surrounded by people and relatives. Making it easy for them to interact with different type of personality. And just being able to get through the day seeing older siblings clash makes you become more aware what type of people to deal with.

• Easily learn from mistakes, the youngest sibling look up to their older siblings. Observes and finds opportunity to find way to become better from the mistakes older siblings does. They tend to decide carefully but compared to older siblings younger siblings are more risk takers.

• Always the baby, no matter what happens the youngest sibling is always the last. Last child to put to bed, last to graduate, last to everything. Parents are always lenient to the youngest sibling so even if your a grown up your always the baby in the family.

• Creative, well the older sibling according to research has higher IQ. Parents tend to give more attention to older siblings when it comes to education. And parents expect more from them, so younger siblings tend to think outside the box. They are more artistic and talented than other siblings.

• Funnier, since youngest sibling doesn't have much responsibility so they are relaxed. They are seen to be charming and funny. There is no dull moment when your with them. They are quirky and has their own way of expressing themselves. Having lesser expectation makes them a happy go lucky person.

Well being the youngest can have positive and negative characteristics. As a parent it may be troubling, for giving discipline to your kids is tough. But youngest sibling syndrome can be prevented. Always be fair and deligate responsibility well to each of your kids.

I am the youngest sibling and yes I do get special attention from my older siblings and parents but I believe I was guided well by my older siblings and parents that taking responsibility was intigrated well to me. I learned to have a fair share in the household chores and gets fair punishment when I commit mistakes. But I do admit that there are times that some rules are bent in my convenience but it didn't make me feel spoiled.

As a child I'd always have a fight with my older brother, I'd always cry everytime they correct my mistakes. Feel sulky everytime I don't get what I want. Angered by their treatment, but as we become adults I started to feel that the brothers who I used to hate are the brothers who would never leave me behind whenever I have problem.
