I am sure many of us can relate to periods of insomnia. Some have difficulty falling asleep while others staying asleep. The lack of sleep can impact how we feel physically and emotionally throughout the day.
Last night, I was able to break the cycle. I did mild exercise and yoga and despite feeling like a nap, I passed up the chance and stayed awake during the day. In the evening, I made a cup of kava stress relief tea about an hour before bed. I turned off all electronic devices and slept in a quiet dark room.
I woke up feeling energized and my natural happy self after combating two weeks of insomnia.
