Express Your Feelings! Don't Bottle It In!
In general, some people have a tendency to keep their emotions in and not share how they are feeling. It's important to express those feelings to others, especially to the people closest to you. Now there are different ways to express your emotions. When telling others how you feel it is important to keep in mind, especially if you want to sustain your relationship, to do so in a tactful manner.
When I say express your feelings, I refer to all the different types of emotions. Always share positive feelings of love, gratitude, and appreciation. This will help to deepen and solidify your relationships.
On the other end of the spectrum, there are emotions that cause anger, stress, sadness, and jealousy. It is vital to allow yourself to share these emotions so that you can work through them. It's unhealthy to keep these feelings inside and bury them deep down. Eventually, you will run out of space, possibly blow up, and take it out on someone. Now that could end your relationship with them.
Keep the line of communication open, creating a safe and comfortable place to discuss all things. For instance, talk about how amazing or terrible your day was or if they did something that really bothered, impressed, surprised, or made you happy. Do not keep that in. Let it out and remember to.....
