Physical Evidence of Historic Buildings The Dutch heritage that existed in Bandung from the Colonial era up to the present day.

Bandung flower city has many former Dutch buildings that still exist until now.
In fact, the building that was built when the Dutch still occupied Indonesia that there is a central government building. I will take you to see some of the Dutch heritage buildings which until now still in the guard and treated its existence by the Government and Society it is he:

Gedung Sate, Central Government of West Java, is no stranger to the general public. Gedung Sate located in the center of Bandung was built in 1920 (Dutch colonial). Named Gedung Sate, because the top of the building, has a shape resembling a skewer. Gedung Sate also became one of the central government of West Java Province namely the office of West Java Provincial Governor. During the holidays, the courtyard of Gedung Sate and Gasibu Field serves as a place to relax while exercising and still stout other activities conducted by residents of Bandung around the building.

Gedung Merdeka, The Asian-African Conference Place of 1955
The next building that is not less historic is Gedung Merdeka. Being on Jalan Asia Afrika no. 65, of course, frequent traveler to Bandung already know the location of this building. yes ... this building is located not far from downtown Bandung precisely near Bandung Mosque and Town Square Bandung.

The original name of the Merdeka building is the Societeit Concordia Building. By the late President Soekarno, the name of the building was changed to Gedung Merdeka, as many of the events were held such as the Asian-African Conference which was followed by many countries and also with world leaders from Asia and Africa. For those of you who frequent to Bandung certainly no stranger to this one building.

Grand Hotel Preanger, Hotel Kebanggaaan Bandung At that time Asia Africa region is famous both inside and outside the country. Not only the Merdeka building is a silent witness of the Dutch heritage in Indonesia. On Jalan Asia Afrika no. 81, traveler can find Grand Hotel Preanger which become the pride of Bandung residents of that era. This Dutch-Indies architectural hotel was redesigned by CP Wolff Schoemaker in 1929 aided by Ir. Soekarno. This hotel is right in front of Gedung Merdeka Jalan Asi Afrika No. 81 Bandung.

Bosscha, Astronomy Learning Place
Bosscha is a building that serves as an observatory. Located in Lembang, West Java, a distance of 15 km north of Bandung, this building is perfect for studying astronomy. and this is still a legacy of the Dutch Colonial and still maintained the integrity of the building by the government and society. Located at an altitude of about 1310 masl, Bosscha make the area cool. Before entering the building, make sure you must reserve in advance at http://bosscha.itb.ac.id.

Hotel Savoy Homman, Hotel Guest Stay Asian-African Conference Guests
Asia Africa Road area is suitable if it is dubbed as the old city of Bandung. One of the historic buildings that still exist today is the Savoy Homman Hotel at Jalan Asia Afrika No. 112.
This four-star hotel with comfortable rooms has its own history. At the Asian-African Conference, many state guests staying at the hotel built in 1939 are also Dutch Colonials

Villa Isola, Art Deco Old Building
Apart from Jalan Asia Afrika. There is one more building that stood since the Dutch colonial era, the Villa Isola building located on Setiabudi Street. The building located in the University of Education Indonesia (UPI) complex has an art deco architecture that is still well maintained today. When Japan occupied Indonesia, this building became the residence of General Hitoshi Imamura before the Kalijati Agreement in Subang in 1942.

The Dutch had long occupied Indonesia. But at least there is physical evidence of historic buildings that must be treated by the Government and us all the community, you need to know how the ancient architecture to build a building with very beautiful and also very classic.
and of course I feel proud as people of West Java have Bandung area and many colonial Dutch heritage buildings that until now still awake wholeness and this is our cultural preserve of all Indonesian Nations.
